Japanese Owl Artwork
Japanese artwork of an owl on a pine branch in the moonlight
Taken from a print by Utagawa Hiroshige (1832), this Japanese artwork represents an owl on a pine branch in the moonlight. In Japanese, the term “fukuro” which designates the owl can also be written in two words, “fuku” (luck) and “kuru” (to come). Thus, the owl is considered as a lucky charm which protects from difficulties.
