Tenugui, the Japanese cotton towel with Mount Fuji design
On this tenugui towel, we find many Japanese symbols: Mount Fuji, sacred mountain of Japan, the red sun and the waves, symbol of a powerful and respected nature. This Japanese towel can be used to wipe hands, face, dishes… Stretched in a frame, it can also be used as a wall decoration.
Note: the tenugui is a thin cotton fabric strip usually measuring 35 by 90 cm. It has no folds or hems so that it can dry quickly. If the edges of your tenugui start to fray, cut the protruding threads with a pair of scissors.
